This is the first public award of my life. Roja Chandi Baruah had his capital in Howly, and he displayed unmatched bravery in battles against the Man forces. Receiving an award named after such a valiant figure fills me with gratitude. My childhood, adolescence, and youth were all spent in my birthplace, Howly. This honour is only possible because of the love and blessings of the people of Howly. I extend my heartfelt thanks to the organising committee. This recognition has inspired me to continue serving the people with dedication.”

The award function was presided over by Sri Nagen Das, and graced by dignitaries including Bhawanipur MLA Sri Phani Talukdar, Krishi Bota recipient Sri Shailen Das, Sri Ananda Das, Sri Dhiraj Deori, Sri Anil Kalita, and Goswami’s elder brother Sri Narayan Goswami, among other respected guests.
